Horrible customer service, this should deserve 0 stars.
Purchased a family insurance for my family for our upcoming trip to Huahin, Thailand. Upon purchase of the insurance, the policy specifies the holder needs to be an ordinary resident. I was in between jobs and currently was not holding a long term visit pass, asked for clarification on this the 2nd of January.
No reply within 3 business days or any reply at all for that matter. The day of our departure on 10 January I try call again to verify. After finally getting through the queue they matter of factly inform me that I am not covered because I am not an ordinary resident and the policy is invalid, mind you I have been living for more than 3 years in SG at this point. Nevermind my wife and child who are both long term passes holders, the policy could not be transferred to them.
This whole ordeal left us in a scuttle to find another insurance last minute and Allianz offered no alternative except the usual corporate speak of "we will reimburse you in 14 days". So much for giving them a free loan!
As solution to our problem we found an alternative provider that does not have this strange resident clause and atleast was responsive to our questions.
Don’t buy travel insurance from them. I have been automatically purchasing from them via the SQ website. And when you need to make a claim for trip cancellation as a result of MFA travel advisory, you discover that they don’t cover it.
the air ticket OUT OF Marrakech to London (via Lisbon) isn’t of any use once the air ticket INTO Marrakech has been cancelled. And hence an insurance claim should be allowed.
My point is, if a travel insurance doesn’t accept a trip cancellation claim (despite advertising “Trip Cancellation”) as a result of an MFA travel advisory, it is not a travel product that anyone should buy.
I will never buy any more Allianz products.
Website didn't direct you to redeem their offers to claim. The password email to retrieve insurance policy is obscure and confusing. Copy and paste password but prompt as incorrect password. Such a hassle to call hotline to resolve this issue
Claim submitted one month ago and Allianz just keep requesting claim settlement from the service provider when I do not receive any compensation from the transportation service provider. Worst nightmare purchasing this travel insurance. Never have issue before when I purchased MSIG for my previous travel journey.
Worst customer service and no flexibility to help customer and money minded. I chooses different travel insurance product with less price and more benefits. Thank you for service so I chooses right insurance.
Guess I am not the only one who had bad experience after I bought Allianz Insurance
Singapore ,bought Travel Insurance for my recent overseas trip of 4 pax , too late to Saw quite a number of negative reviews on its Google review page . I think is their trick to earn money, I was not able to claim my medical fee and also diagnosed covid positive . My sister got slight injured during the trip and seeing doctor immediate when we arrived in sg . Yet , unable to claim so .
For Travel Protect policy, be aware that any illness/ injury during the travel period that you wish to claim for must be first treated overseas before you can claim for continuation for medical treatment in Singapore even for Krisflyer members. Read the fine print carefully.
Bought a travel insurance to cover the excess of vehicle rental whilst overseas. Unfortunately, I need to make a claim and submitted the necessary documents in their online portal. Processing takes a very long time and calls made to their …
